My mind turned to fall quite some time ago, when we had an unusual cold snap (ahem, 60 degrees) in Southern California. Fall is undoubtedly my favorite season
—I love it's fiery color, golden glow and long, outstretched shadows that tell us winter's coming. But sadly, that lovely LA chill left as quickly as it came and we're now fully engaged in the more typical September climate: hot, muggy and smoke-filled. So, I must seek fall elsewhere.
